Bravo Probiotics – General

Bravo Probiotics Edestiny Capsules are a vegan probiotic supplement made from fermented hemp seed protein. They contain over 300 probiotic strains, along with prebiotics, postbiotics, and beneficial peptides designed to support gut health and immunity.

Bravo Probiotic Concentrate Capsules are a high-potency probiotic supplement made from freeze dried cultured cow’s milk and colostrum containing over 300 probiotic strains designed to support gut health, digestion, and immune function. These capsules are ideal for those who cannot tolerate dairy-based probiotics or prefer a concentrated, easy-to-take format.

Both Bravo Probiotics Edestiny Capsules and Bravo Concentrate Capsules are designed to support gut health and immune function, but they differ in their ingredients and formulation:

Bravo Edestiny Capsules
✅ Vegan formula – Made from fermented hemp seed protein instead of dairy.

✅ GcMAF-like peptides – Contains Edestin, a plant-based peptide with immune-supporting properties.

✅ Prebiotics & postbiotics – Includes fermented lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and kefir cultures to enhance digestion.

✅ Designed for gut microbiome balance – Supports intestinal health and immune modulation.

Bravo Concentrate Capsules
✅ Dairy-derived formula – Contains colostrum-based immunoglobulins for gut and immune support.

✅ GcMAF activation support – Includes enzymes like β-galactosidase and sialidase, which may help with immune modulation.

✅ Alternative to Bravo Yogurt – Provides similar benefits to half a cup of Bravo Yogurt, but in capsule form.

✅ Supports leaky gut repair – Helps restore intestinal lining and digestive function.

Key Differences:

  • Edestiny is vegan, while Concentrate contains dairy-derived colostrum.
  • Edestiny focuses on plant-based peptides, while Concentrate supports GcMAF activation.
  • Both contain over 300 probiotic strains, but their fermentation bases differ.

AUTISM GENES says to follow a dairy free diet, why recommend a dairy based probiotic like Bravo Concentrate? AUTISM GENES recommends a dairy-free diet as part of its gut and immune restoration protocols, especially for individuals with autism or chronic inflammation, where dairy proteins can be problematic. However, Bravo Concentrate is still recommended because of its unique probiotic formulation and the amount of dairy in them is inconsequential in comparison to the benefits the beneficial bacteria give.

Here’s why:

  • Bravo Concentrate contains over 300 microbial strains, including beneficial bacteria and yeasts not typically found in standard probiotics.
  • It’s also a natural source of GcMAF-like activity, which may support immune modulation and cellular repair—something not all dairy-free alternatives can replicate.
  • The dairy content in Bravo Concentrate is extremely minimal—just trace amounts of dried cultured milk and colostrum—and many individuals on dairy-free diets tolerate it well, especially when fermented further.
  • That said, for those with true dairy allergies or strict avoidance needs, AUTISM GENES also offers Bravo Edestiny, a 100% vegan, dairy-free alternative that still delivers robust probiotic support.
Bravo Probiotics – On Program
Can Bravo Probiotics Edestiny Capsules (Vegan Capsules) be fermented? No. Bravo Probiotics Edestiny Capsules are already fermented during production. The hemp seed protein is naturally fermented using a proprietary blend of live cultures, probiotics, and prebiotics, then freeze-dried to preserve its bioactive properties. Since the fermentation process is completed before encapsulation, the capsules do not need further fermentation. These are designed to be swallowed whole or can be opened and sprinkled into room temperature drinks/foods. The probiotic strains remain active when mixed with non-heated foods/drinks. Heat may reduce probiotic viability.
Yes. The Bravo Probiotic Concentrate Capsules themselves are not designed to be fermented directly. However, the contents of the capsules—essentially freeze-dried Bravo yogurt—can be used to initiate fermentation when mixed with a suitable medium like coconut cream or pomegranate juice. This makes them a flexible option for families who want to stretch the product further by culturing their own batches at home. Just be sure to open the capsules and use the powder inside—don’t ferment the capsules whole.

Why do you recommend fermenting Bravo Probiotics Concentrate Capsules (Non-Vegan)? Fermenting the contents of Bravo Probiotic Concentrate Capsules (non-vegan) can be a smart and cost-effective way to amplify their benefits—especially for families or individuals looking to stretch their supply while supporting gut health more dynamically. Here’s why it’s often recommended:

  • Probiotic multiplication: When fermented in a suitable medium like coconut cream or pomegranate juice, the live cultures in the capsules can multiply, increasing the overall probiotic load and diversity in each serving.
  • Enhanced bioavailability: Fermentation can activate additional bioactive compounds, including naturally produced GcMAF, which supports immune modulation and cellular repair.
  • Cost efficiency: Instead of taking a capsule daily, fermenting allows you to create a larger volume of probiotic-rich food or drink from a smaller amount of product—ideal for families or long-term use. One bottle could last 12 months, making it more economical.
  • Customisation: You can tailor the fermentation base to suit dietary needs—dairy-free, low-sugar, or antioxidant-rich options like pomegranate juice, which also supports detox pathways.
  • Be sure to open and empty the contents of the capsule, discarding the capsule.

Can Bravo Probiotics Concentrate Capsules (Non-Vegan) be fermented in other foods/liquids? Yes, the contents of Bravo Probiotic Concentrate Capsules (non-vegan) can be fermented in a variety of suitable foods or liquids—as long as the base supports bacterial growth and doesn’t contain preservatives or antimicrobial agents.
Here are some commonly used fermentation bases:

  • Coconut cream or milk (preservative-free): A popular dairy-free option that yields a yogurt-like texture.
  • Pomegranate juice: Rich in polyphenols and supportive of detox pathways, it’s a synergistic choice.
  • Other fresh, organic juices (like carrot, pear, apple or beetroot): These can work if they’re free from additives and not overly acidic.
Avoid bases that are pasteurised with added preservatives, or those that are too acidic or low in natural sugars, as they may inhibit fermentation.

Can other probiotics be fermented with Bravo Probiotics Concentrate Capsules (Non-Vegan)? Yes, it’s technically possible to co-ferment other probiotics with the contents of Bravo Probiotic Concentrate Capsules, but it’s not generally recommended. Here’s why:

  • Bravo’s microbial ecosystem is highly curated—it contains over 300 strains, including bacteria, yeasts, phage’s, and plasmids, all designed to work synergistically. Introducing other probiotics could disrupt this balance or compete with Bravo’s strains during fermentation.
  • The Bravo formulation is based on years of research to support GcMAF-like activity, immune modulation, and microbiome restoration. Adding other strains may dilute or interfere with these effects.
  • Bravo ferments best in juice (this is the easiest way to ferment it) and all other probiotics can be fermented in coconut cream to make yoghurt.
  • Caution! Saccharomyces boulardii mixed with Bravo (or any other probiotics) ferments very quickly and this should only be added 2-4 hours towards the END of the fermentation process.
  • Bravo will only grow the bacterial strains if you add a capsule of bravo to the usual batch of coconut cream yoghurt at 37 degrees.
  • The only way to grow all 314 probiotic strains, including the phage’s and kefir strains is to grow the bravo at room temperature - either in coconut cream or a juice. It is also possible to mix separate coconut cream yoghurt batches together after they have been fermented at different temperatures.
Program – General Questions

Autism Genes is a pioneering clinic founded by Dr. Heather Way, focused on using personalised genomics to support children with neurodevelopmental conditions like autism and ADHD.
What makes AUTISM GENES unique is its integration of genetic testing, microbiome analysis, and nutrigenomic strategies to create tailored programs for each child. These programs often include dietary guidance, targeted supplementation, and lifestyle changes—all based on the child’s unique DNA and biological needs.
Dr. Way’s approach was born from personal experience with her own son’s autism diagnosis, which led her to explore the gut-brain connection and the role of environmental and genetic factors in neurodevelopment. Today, AUTISM GENES offers 12–18 month online programs delivered via telehealth to families around the world.

My child is Autistic, how can you help me? We take a holistic approach in our program. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all because every person has a different genetic make-up. We look for specific genes, triggers and blocks, we can find the root causes like inflammation of the brain, environmental toxicity, understand and balance the biochemistry for each unique child. We do not use drugs, we do everything natural. We can help reduce anxiety, reduce fussy eating, repair immunity, test and reset the gut microbiome and finally the DNA.

At The Australian Centre of Genomic Analysis, we recognise that no two children with ADD or ADHD are the same. Our genomic services are designed to uncover the unique biological factors that may influence your child’s condition and response to treatment.
Instead of relying solely on trial-and-error approaches, we use genetic profiling to explore how your child’s body processes and responds to different types of medications, foods and supplements. This can help clinicians make more informed decisions about which treatments may be better tolerated or more effective—potentially reducing side effects and improving outcomes.
Beyond medication guidance, our broader genomic assessments can also identify underlying genetic or metabolic contributors that may be exacerbating attention or behavioural challenges. These insights can open the door to more targeted interventions, whether nutritional, therapeutic, or medical.
Our mission is to empower families with science-backed, personalised information—so you can feel more confident in the path forward for your child

What do you mean by DNA testing? DNA testing is a scientific method used to examine a person’s unique genetic code—essentially, the biological instructions that make you who you are. Every cell in your body contains DNA, and by analysing it, we can uncover valuable information about your health, ancestry, and how your body may respond to certain treatments.
At The Australian Centre of Genomic Analysis, we use DNA testing to help identify genetic variations that may influence health conditions, medication responses, or inherited traits. This can support more personalised healthcare decisions, early detection of potential risks, and a deeper understanding of your genetic profile.
Whether you're seeking answers for a specific condition or simply want to better understand your genetic makeup, DNA testing offers a powerful window into your biology. Dr. Heather Way worked with IntellxxDNA for many years to help create the world’s first, largest, and only specialist 700 SNP neurodevelopmental related gene panel.
